Indiana University Southeast is considered to be a regional campus within the Indianan University System. It is situated in New Albany, in Floyd Country.

Floyd McCurry was that one to establish the Indiana University Falls City Area Center in 1941. It was established as an extension of Indiana University. The classes were taking place at the New Albany High School and in Jeffersonville High School.
